Heidi is a history-loving passionate traveller who takes photos at every opportunity. Fluent in 3 languages with knowledge of 2 more, she has lived in the US, Germany and Switzerland before moving to wonderful Copenhagen in 2001.
When she’s on the go, Heidi is fond of finding out- of- the- way places and connecting with the locals. Her talent for telling a story has led her to offer history/culture walking tours in her adopted city.
I’m a history-loving passionate traveler who takes photos at every opportunity, both at home and when traveling abroad. Conducting city walking tours of Copenhagen, I meet people from all over the world and I enjoy sharing the stories, culture, and history of my adoptive city.
I started my career in international banking in New York City, then became an entrepreneur, opening a floral design and event-planning company in Connecticut. When I moved to Denmark, I worked in finance again. My degree is in languages and I also have a professional design certification and tour guide training. Fluent in English, German, and Danish and with a working knowledge of Spanish and French, I lived in the US, Germany, and Switzerland before settling in wonderful Copenhagen in 2001.
When I’m on the go, I travel away from crowds to less visited and uncommon places, usually off-season. I like to immerse myself in the history of a place and do more than scratch the surface because I want to learn something and leave changed. To satisfy my creative side, I capture artistic images of the details, colors, architecture, and sweeping landscapes with my camera.
